“Let’s not underestimate the power of care. Nursing care is powerful.” – Aintzane Orkaizagirre Gómara, RN, PhD
She is currently a lecturer in nursing in the University of the Basque Country, where she invites her students to dream about the type of nurse they want to be, and encourages them to be future nurse leaders. In addition to working as a lecturer, she is also a researcher, studying patient safety and “invisible care”, highlighting the power of nursing care in the well-being of patients.
